The Landscape Architecture Student Advisory Council acts as both a conduit between, and as a sounding board; for, students and the department head (acting on behalf of the department's faculty). The council is comprised of six students (3 undergraduate and 3 graduate students) that typically meet two to four times per term with the department head to discuss key questions/issues pertaining to departmental life, including topics relating to curriculum, facilities, departmental policies, and more.
Elections occur in spring term, with nominations accepted during the first week or two of the term. Members are then elected by their peers in the department, and serve for the remainder of that term, plus the next academic year.
